Possible murder-suicide in Beverly Hills leaves two dead

A possible murder-suicide in Beverly Hills has left a man and a woman dead, police said.

About 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, police were told there was a dead man and woman in the 300 block of South Elm Drive, Beverly Hills police said.

The deceased were in their 30s and both sustained gunshot wounds, police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said, adding that an adult family member discovered the bodies.

According to police Sgt. Max Subin, the scene was at a multi-unit residential building. Police did not identify the dead or provide further details.

Since 2000, there have been 13 previous homicides in Beverly Hills, according to The Times’ Homicide Report. The most recent of those was in October 2011.
