Paraplegic’s home burglarized, medication stolen, police say

A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday after allegedly burglarizing the San Fernando Valley home of a paraplegic and stealing his medication.
The victim was in bed and unable to get into his wheelchair, but he managed to call 911 on his cellphone while the burglar was in another room, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. Officers arrested the suspect, Alexander Generalao, as he left the residence.
Generalao allegedly stole medication for both the victim and the victim’s dog, as well as cash, according to the news release.
No other details about the incident were available.
