Multiple injuries after SUV crashes into downtown Los Angeles store

An SUV crashed into a drugstore in downtown Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, injuring several people, police said.
According to the L.A. Fire Department, eight people were examined at the scene. Four were taken to the hospital, including two said to be in critical condition.
The motorist was cited for driving under the influence, according to police. The identity of the driver, who was not injured, was not immediately released.
The crash occurred about 3:40 p.m. when the Chevrolet Suburban apparently collided with another car and went into reverse into the Rite Aid store at Broadway and 5th Street, police said.
