Authorities on Wednesday released a sketch of a man who they say walked onto a Rosemead elementary school campus and grabbed a girl by her collar before fleeing.
The man entered Bitely Elementary School and approached the 11-year-old student from behind about 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The girl broke free and ran away as the man left the campus.
The man was described by authorities as 40 to 50 years old and 5-foot-6, with long, stringy black hair. He has a thin mustache and scratches on his left cheek. The man, who may be Filipino, was wearing a white tank top, dirty blue jeans and and was barefoot, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
