Diver dies during outing near San Diego’s Point Loma
Reporting from San Diego —
A 42-year-old man died Sunday while on a scuba diving outing about 10 miles off Point Loma, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The man was among a dozen divers aboard a charter boat in the Hogan’s Wreck diving area when he became unresponsive while under water around noon, the Coast Guard said.
The man was brought to the boat and then to shore by a Coast Guard boat. He was declared dead on arrival. His name was not released.
