Earthquake: 2.5 quake strikes near Yorba Linda
A shallow magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported Saturday morning about a mile east-northeast of Yorba Linda in Orange County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:18 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Placentia, six miles from Brea and six miles from Chino Hills.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
