Stabbings on Hollywood Walk of Fame leave 2 in critical condition

Two men were stabbed early Monday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, authorities say.

The men were standing on the sidewalk near a pizza parlor on the south side of Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue when the violence unfolded at about 1 a.m., KTLA reported, citing Los Angeles police.

Both victims were stabbed in the neck and were treated by firefighters at the scene before being hospitalized in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.

A bit earlier and just a few blocks away, there was a double shooting outside of Hollywood nightclub.

One victim was shot in the leg and another in the back as a gunman opened fire at about midnight outside a club in the 1700 block of Ivar Avenue, witnesses reported.

The LAPD is investigating both incidents.
