Marina del Rey quake Southland’s third Thursday
An earthquake centered near Marina del Rey was felt as far away as 50 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website.
The shallow 3.0 temblor began rumbling at 2:08 p.m. and began more than eight miles underground, the site reported.
There were no immediate reports of damage, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official in Marina del Rey said.
The quake was one of three to shake Southern California on Thursday. A pair of 2.5-magnitude quakes shook the desert town of Anza, south of Palm Springs, shortly before 1 p.m.
