Long Beach police announced Friday that a 40-year-old Corona man had been arrested on charges that included selling marijuana and possessing assault weapons, nearly two years after a search of a Long Beach marijuana dispensary spurred “a thorough financial investigation.”

Christopher Keane Woodard was being held Friday at the Long Beach Jail after being arrested at his home.

Detectives first searched Industry Green Collective nearly two years ago, after the city of Long Beach banned marijuana dispensaries, and seized roughly 20 pounds of marijuana and “a substantial amount of cash,” according to a Long Beach Police Department statement.

Police said their investigation led them to the Corona home where Woodard lived, where they found seven guns, including three assault rifles. Evidence at the home also triggered an investigation by the state Franchise Tax Board, according to police.

Woodard also faces charges of child endangerment and tax violations. “The guns and ammunition were kept in an unsecured location and easily accessible to the minors in the home,” the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.
