O.C. mother who had sex with 12-year-old boy gets prison term
A 45-year-old Fountain Valley woman was sentenced to six years in prison Friday on charges of having sex with one of her son’s 12-year-old friends.
Patricia Ann Serrano pleaded guilty last month to three felony counts of performing lewd acts on a child under 14, and to related counts of forgery and petty theft , according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Authorities said Serrano knew the victim, a 12-year-old boy, because he was a friend of her son.
Serrano sent sexual text messages to the victim and had sex with him in her home and in a car in October 2011, authorities said.
The victim’s mother reported Serrano to the police after discovering Serrano in a locked room with the boy, the district attorney’s office said. Serrano was arrested in November 2011.
Along with the sex charges, Serrano was accused of forging a letter on fake Orange County district attorney’s office stationery in an attempt to convince her employer that she had been in court on a day she missed work.
