The accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. when the victim’s motorcycle collided with the center divider at the intersection of Paseo de Valencia and Laguna Hills Drive, an official said.
The driver, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene, said Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Southbound Paseo de Valencia at Laguna Hills is expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m., Hallock said.
