The name of a motorcyclist stuck and killed on Interstate 10 in Pomona was released by Los Angeles County coroner’s officials Sunday.
Devin Lyle Cortina, 19, of Apple Valley, was killed shortly after midnight Saturday, the CHP said.
Cortina’s motorcycle apparently broke down and he was standing in the No. 2 lane of the westbound freeway when he was struck by a pickup truck and thrown into the next lane, where he was struck again by a small sedan. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
Two other sedans collided while avoiding the downed motorcyclist and are considered parties in the fatal incident, authorities said.
