Naked man arrested while running on freeway in San Diego
A naked man was arrested while running and yelling at motorists in passing vehicles on Interstate 5 in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said Thursday.
But his most serious crime was almost certainly biting a CHP officer on the leg before being arrested, the CHP said.
The man had been spotted running northbound near Cesar Chavez Parkway at about 10:20 a.m., the CHP said.
At first, he complied with a command by an officer to get on the ground. He then got up and began running southbound in the northbound lanes, the CHP said. When an officer tried to subdue him, the naked man bit him, the CHP said.
The officer and the runner were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries. The naked man’s identity was not released.
