The male driver appeared to be the only person in the car.

Television coverage showed the vehicle navigating through traffic, potentially endangering other motorists and pedestrians.

About 30 minutes into the chase, the vehicle came to a stop near Huntington Drive and West Main Street in El Sereno after losing at least part of a tire. The suspect was arrested soon after.

At least half a dozen patrol cars participated in the pursuit. No injuries were reported.
