A woman and two men were assaulted Thursday night in Venice -- the woman reportedly struck with a skateboard -- as onlookers stood by.
Los Angeles police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon near Speedway and Windward Avenue at about 9 p.m., LAPD officer Jack Richter said Friday. The officer could not confirm whether a skateboard was used in the assault.
Authorities found three victims, who Richter said were in their late teens or twenties, with non-life-threatening injuries.
In a video taken by a bystander and reported by local television news, the woman appears to be hit in the head by a skateboard swung by a young man. The woman was also kicked as she lay screaming on the ground while a crowd of people milled around.
Police are looking for two suspects, Richter said.
