Hermosa Beach boy, 12, dies after skiing crash in Colorado
Authorities say a 12-year-old boy from California has died after hitting a tree stump while skiing in Colorado.
The Summit Daily reports that Logan Goodwin of Hermosa Beach died Saturday at the Breckenridge Ski Resort.
The county coroner’s office says he died from blunt force trauma to his abdomen.
The sheriff’s department says Logan was skiing in trees near the upper part of a run called Springmeier when he hit a stump.
It was believed to be the 13th ski-related death at a Colorado resort this season. In addition, a Colorado Springs woman died March 19 while skiing in an undeveloped area on Pikes Peak.
