Suspicious package at Los Angeles City Hall prompts street closures downtown
Los Angeles police have closed the streets near Los Angeles City Hall during the afternoon rush hour after a suspicious package was found outside the building.
Authorities were notified shortly after 3:30 p.m. that there was an abandoned package in the forecourt of City Hall, Officer Tony Im said.

The department closed off portions of Spring Street between Temple and 1st streets while its bomb technicians were at the scene, he said.
