Mother arrested after twin babies drown at motel
Police have arrested a woman in Tulare after her twin infant sons were found drowned in a motel Thursday morning, officials said.
Heather Langdon, 37, of Lindsay, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of homicide shortly after police found the two 10-month-olds in a motel in the 700 block of South K Street, said Sgt. Jon Hamlin, a spokesman for the Tulare Police Department.
The children were not breathing when officers arrived, and CPR was performed. They were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said.
“We believe she’s the one that did it,” Hamlin said of Langdon.
Officers think the children were drowned in a bathtub in the motel room, Hamlin said, because the building does not have an outdoor pool.
