Burbank police said foul play does not appear to be a factor in the death of a woman whose body was found Monday under a tree outside an adult community center.

A staff member at the Joslyn Adult Center, located at 1301 W. Olive Ave., called police around 2 p.m. to report a person sleeping under a tree in the adjacent park, said Burbank police Lt. John Dilibert.

When police arrived, he said, they discovered that the woman, who appeared to be in her late 20s or early 30s, was dead.

“It doesn’t look suspicious to us at this time,” Dilibert told the Burbank Leader.

Los Angeles County coroner officials were working to determine the cause of death and the woman’s identity, officials said. No further details were immediately available.

Anyone with information on the death is asked to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3000.
