Long Beach police release video in shooting of boy, 10, and man

Share

In an attempt to track down suspects, Long Beach police Monday released video footage from a gas station where two people, including a 10-year-old boy, were shot last week.

The boy was sitting in a parked car with his parents at a gas station near Long Beach and Del Amo boulevards Friday night when a dispute between several other men escalated into gunfire, authorities said.

At least one of the bullets hit the boy, critically wounding him. He was apparently not involved in the altercation. A man was also treated for gunshot wounds. Authorities Monday said the boy was in stable condition.

The video shows a bit of the chaotic scene at the gas station, with several young men running in different directions. Authorities are asking anyone who can identify those in the video to call Det. Jessie Fragoso at (562) 570-7370.
