Readers React: From Senate also-ran to presidential greatness: It’s been done
To the editor: So here we have a tall, thin, relatively young politician whose only service in national office has been a brief time in Congress. Now he’s seen as a potential presidential candidate simply because his Senate run got national attention — and then he lost.
This of course is former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) in February 2019. This interestingly is also Abraham Lincoln in February 1859.
