The Breakers will play games Friday and Saturday and two games Sunday.

Laguna is coming off a 2-2 run at the Corona del Mar Tournament. The Breakers defeated Brea Olinda and La Quinta/La Quinta, and lost close games to Tustin (four points ) and Corona del Mar (one point).

The Breakers, who lost four seniors from their 2016 Orange Coast League championship and CIF-SS Division 4AA quarterfinal team, also are playing summer games Mondays and Wednesdays in the Godinez Summer League, and Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Dana Hills Summer League. Through Tuesday, they were 3-3 in both leagues.

Coach Bret Fleming said guards Charlie Rounaghi and Blake Burzell and forward Adam Armstrong have “stood out in games so far.”

“We’re still pretty young and trying to figure out what it takes to close out and win close games,” Fleming said. “Our guys really like each other and I think we’re steadily getting better.”
