2 men sought in armed robbery of Carl’s Jr. in Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach police are searching for two men who robbed a Carl’s Jr. late Sunday, authorities said.
Police responded to the fast-food restaurant at 8271 Warner Ave. at about 11 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery, said Lt. Tom Weizoerick.
Two men wearing hooded sweatshirts walked into the restaurant just before closing and demanded money. One of the men had a gun, authorities said.
The employees complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, Weizoerick said.
Police described one of the robbers as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 130 to 150 pounds. The other was described as 6 feet tall and about 120 pounds.
No customers were in the restaurant at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported.
Similar robberies at a Winchell’s Donuts in Fountain Valley and a Carl’s Jr. in Laguna Hills were reported last month. It’s unclear whether the incidents are related, according to police.
KTLA contributed to this report.
