Brief: Youth football camp offered

The Seahawks Youth Football Camp will run March 19 at Ocean View High (17071 Gothard Street).
The camp is free of charge for middle school students ages 10 to 13 and runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the school’s football field. The Ocean View football staff will lead campers through position-specific training and includes a warm-up and agility session prior to offensive and defensive skills positions training. The camp concludes with lunch and a team photo. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.

Golf fundraiser for Edison baseball
The Edison High baseball program will host its first Baseball Invitational Golf Fundraising Tournament April 1 at Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach (16782 Graham Street).
The BIG tournament cost is $125 per golfer and includes green fees, cart, range balls, raffles and a buffet dinner. Check-in is 11 a.m. and tee-off time is noon. For non-golfers, the cost is $30 for dinner only.

FBA spring tryouts
Fryer Basketball Academy spring tryouts will be held April 2 at the Huntington Beach High gymnasium (1905 Main Street).
FBA, an Amateur Athletic Union program, will run the tryouts at the following times: Grades 4-5, 10 to 11 a.m.; Grades 6-8, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The program will focus on fundamentals and the teams are coached by current high school coaches and former collegiate players.
The 10-week season starts April 4 and run through June 12. Practices will held twice per week and teams will participate in up to five tournaments during the season. A summer season will start after the completion of the spring season.
