Football: Edison, St. Margaret’s open with wins in Hawaii
Huntington Beach Edison and St. Margaret’s each came away with season-opening victories in Hawaii on Saturday.
Junior quarterback Griffin O’Connor had four touchdown passes in the first half as Edison cruised to a 56-21 victory over Maui Baldwin. E.J. Ginnis caught three touchdown passes. Edison opened a 35-7 halftime lead. Blake Bowen had two touchdown passes.
Shawn Colaminoco caught eight passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
St. Margaret’s picked up a 41-7 win over Hawaii Prep.
Koa Todd had 243 yards rushing on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns.
