Football: Grant Kraemer wins starting QB job at SO Notre Dame
- Share via
Senior Grant Kraemer has won the starting quarterback job at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, though the Knights still figure to use the versatile Koa Farmer at times when they want to use the option play.
“Grant is a good quarterback,” Coach Kevin Rooney said. “I feel very good with what he’s done this summer.”
Kraemer, 6 feet 3, 190 pounds, is a three-sport athlete for the Knights who started on the junior varsity team as a sophomore. He didn’t play QB last season, sitting behind the Hilinski brothers, Kelly and Tyler. When Tyler, a junior, transferred to Upland, it opened the way for Kraemer to return to quarterback.
Farmer’s availability will serve as an insurance policy for the Knights. He’s going to play receiver and safety but also practice at QB.
