Loyola athletes to participate in day of service

In honor of Loyola High’s 150th anniversary operating in Los Angeles, students will be participating in a community service initiative on Saturday, April 11.
One thousand Loyola students are scheduled to fan out across Los Angeles to work on 100 different service programs along with alumni, teachers and faculty.
Loyola’s sports teams will be heavily involved.
The football team will report to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in Vernon.
The baseball team will help out at Homeboy Industries near Chinatown. The volleyball team will be working at a Homeboy Carwash near Venice Beach.
What a fantastic way to celebrate a school’s influence in the Los Angeles area by giving back.
