Girls’ basketball: Twins Jayla and Jayda Ruffus-Milner lead Harvard-Westlake

Twins power is back at Harvard-Westlake.

The Wolverines ended the first week of girls’ basketball action by winning the Palisades tournament on Saturday night, defeating Fairmont Prep, 48-45, in the championship game.

Jayla Ruffus-Milner was named tournament MVP after scoring 21 points, and her twin sister, Jayda, made all-tournament after scoring 11 points. They are 5 feet 11 and juniors.

Fairmont Prep received 15 points from Cierra Hall.


Harvard-Westlake is well known for relying on twins. Yes, it was the Collins twins, Jason and Jarron, that led the boys’ team to success in the 1990s.
