Pac-12 basketball: Oregon ends Arizona’s 49-game home winning streak

Dillon Brooks scored 24 points and No. 23 Oregon ended Arizona’s 49-game home winning streak with an 83-75 victory over the No. 18 Wildcats on Thursday night at Tucson.

Dwayne Benjamin added 15, Elgin Cook 13 and Tyler Dorsey 12 for the Ducks (17-4, 6-2 Pac-12), who entered the game tied for first with Washington in the Pac-12.

Ryan Anderson scored 22 and Gabe York 18 for the Wildcats (16-5, 4-4), who lost at home for the first time since California beat them on Feb. 10, 2013. It was the longest active home winning streak in the country.

After trailing by one point at the half, the Ducks outscored Arizona 19-11 over the final 6 1/2 minutes.

The Wildcats committed 19 turnovers to Oregon’s six.

at Arizona State 86, Oregon State 68: Obinna Oleka’s 17 points led five Sun Devils in double figures in a rout of the Beavers.

Six of Gerry Blakes’ 16 points came on a pair of three-pointers at the shot clock buzzer, one in each half. Willie Atwood added 13 points as the Sun Devils (12-9, 2-6) won for only the second time in eight games.

The Sun Devils led by as many as 27 points and trailed only once in the game, at 2-0.

Oregon State (12-7, 3-5), has lost four of its last five games. Gary Payton II, who came in as the only player in the top 10 of the Pac-12 in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals, was held to two points and didn’t score until midway through the second half.
