Share

When: 4:30 p.m. PDT.

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.

On the air: Radio: 690 (delayed until 7 PDT).

Records: Chivas USA 6-8-8; Revolution 4-9-9.

Record vs. New England: 1-0-0.

Update: On the second leg of a five-match, monthlong trip, Chivas USA needs to escape with as many points as it can to maintain its chase for a playoff spot. Chivas currently sits 11th in MLS standings, the odd team out of the 10-team playoffs. But trailing the Houston Dynamo by only one point, Chivas can quickly get into the postseason talk with a win over the Revolution, which hasn’t won at home since May 14. Midfielder Alejandro Moreno returned to the Chivas game-day roster against Dallas on July 31. Moreno had been on an extended international leave, helping Venezuela through the Copa America tournament. Against Dallas he played only the final 30 minutes, but more could be expected of him this weekend.
