North Texas 76, Loyola Marymount 63: Chris Jones had 22 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Mean Green (3-5), which committed only four turnovers, the school’s fewest in a game since 1993. LaRon Armstead had a team-high 16 points for the Lions (5-5), who committed 16 turnovers that led to 16 points for North Texas, which was 2-1 in the tournament. Loyola Marymount was 1-2.

Columbia 78, La Sierra 56: Meiko Lyles scored 16 points to lead the Lions (5-4), who completed a 3-0 weekend. Kenneth Penn had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles (0-8), an NAIA school in Riverside.

WOMEN

UCLA 84, at Loyola Marymount 43: Junior Antonye Nyingifa scored a career-high 28 points and tied a personal best with 14 rebounds to lead the Bruins (5-2) to their third consecutive victory. Sophomore Thea Lemberger had a career-best 15 points. The Bruins had a season-high 13 steals and a season-low 11 turnovers. Alex Cowling led the Lions (2-6) with 19 points.

USC 58, at Gonzaga 51: The Trojans (4-3) used a 13-2 run in the last 5 minutes 20 seconds to get past the Bulldogs (5-2), who suffered their second setback in the McCarthey Athletic Center in 32 games, spanning into three seasons. Ashley Corral led the Trojans with 19 points, Briana Gilbreath scored 15 and Cassie Harberts had 13. Jacki Gemelos had 14 rebounds.
