Update: A victory Saturday in Carson would double Chivas’ win output this season at the Home Depot Center. This is the first regular-season MLS meeting between these clubs, though the expansion Timbers did beat Chivas, 2-0, in the U.S. Open Cup on March 29 at Portland. “Bright spots,” according to Chivas Coach Robin Fraser, included the return of two injured players, both coming in as subs in the second half Wednesday. Paulo Nagamura had been out with a calf injury, and Michael Lahoud had been sidelined after a concussion.
