Thursday

Westlake Village Westlake (9-0, 8-0) vs. Ventura St. Bonaventure (8-1, 7-1) at Moorpark College, 7:30 p.m., Prime Ticket: It’s week 10 in the prep football season and opponents have yet to expose any weaknesses in Westlake. That’s the challenge facing a good St. Bonaventure team that knows how to play well in big games. The Seraphs knocked off Long Beach Poly and Westlake last season and defeated Corona Centennial this season. They need to get their running game going against a strong Westlake defensive line and figure out how to contain versatile quarterback Justin Moore. The Seraphs are also finally getting players back from injuries. Kicker Alex Ball comes in with 16 field goals for Westlake. The pick: Westlake.

Santa Margarita (8-1, 3-1) vs. Anaheim Servite (8-1, 4-0) at Cerritos College, 7:30 p.m., FoxSportsWest.com: The Trinity League championship is at stake. Servite has clinched at least a share of the title for the seventh consecutive season. The Friars have been playing some close, nerve-racking games of late, but this is the last before the Pac-5 Division playoffs and a No. 1 seeding is on the line. Charlie Etiaki returned from a broken collarbone last week to boost the offense with touchdown runs of 72 and 52 yards. Santa Margarita will try to run the ball behind quarterback Johnny Stanton and running back Ryan Wolpin. The key is whether the Eagles can slow down an improving Servite offense. The pick: Servite.

West Hills Chaminade (8-1, 4-0) at Gardena Serra (7-2, 4-0), 7 p.m., FoxSportsWest.com: Since Serra scored 70 points last week and Chaminade has been scoring on the ground and through the air, this Mission League title decider has all the makings of an entertaining finale. Sophomore quarterback Jalen Greene has made impressive progress since the start of the season when all he had was freshman experience for Serra. He’ll face a defense that likes to pressure quarterbacks. Chaminade’s offense has veteran quarterback Logan Scott, whose threat to run or pass has made running back Terrell Newby even more effective. The pick: Chaminade.
