San Diego State beats Long Beach State in overtime, 77-73

at San Diego State 77, Long Beach State 73 (OT): Jamal Franklin hit two free throws with 3.9 seconds left in overtime to seal the win. Franklin scored 14 of his 21 points after halftime for the Aztecs (5-1). Casper Ware led the 49ers (2-1) with a game-high 26 points. Larry Anderson scored 25 points for the 49ers. In its previous game on Wednesday, Long Beach State won, 86-76, at No. 9 Pittsburgh.

at Boise State 103, Cal State Northridge 61: Thomas Bropleh’s 20 points led Boise State the Broncos (3-0). Stephan Hicks scored 23 points for the Matadors (0-3), who committed 19 turnovers.

Cal State Fullerton 69, at Louisiana Lafayette 63: In the Beryl Shipley Classic hosted by the Ragin’ Cajuns, Orane Chin and D.J. Seeley each scored 18 points for the Titans (3-0). Chin had 10 rebounds.

Weber State 80, at UC Irvine 72: Damian Lillard’s 27 points led the Wildcats (3-0) in a game that featured five lead changes. Daman Starring scored 21 points for the Anteaters (0-3). Michael Wilder and Derick Flowers added nine points each.

at Cal State Bakersfield 79, Pepperdine 70: Zach Lamb scored 18 points, including eight during a 12-2 run that helped the Roadrunners pull away. Nikolas Skouen had 16 points, Corbin Moore 15 and Taylor Darby 14 for the Waves (2-1), who committed 19 turnovers.

Harvard 77, at Loyola Marymount 67: Laurent Rivard came off the bench to score 20 points, including five three-pointers, and lead four Crimson players in double digits. Anthony Ireland scored 26 points for the Lions (1-2), who shot 42%.
