Clippers guard Mo Williams to miss Saturday’s game with injury
The Clippers got a bit of good news Friday when Mo Williams’ MRI exam on his injured left big toe revealed no significant damage, the team said.
The team said Williams will not play Saturday in the Clippers game against the Memphis Grizzlies at Staples Center, and that he will be listed as day to day.
Williams suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ loss Thursday night to the New Orleans Hornets. He left the arena with a walking boot and on crutches.
Williams, a 6-foot-1 guard, has been the Clippers’ most productive player off the bench this season and is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game.
The Clippers (26-21) have lost three straight games and have dropped to sixth place in the Western Conference.
