Update: The Hornets have the worst record in the Western Conference and have lost five consecutive road games to the Lakers. Kobe Bryant had 33 points as the Lakers rallied from a 17-point deficit to barely win in New Orleans two weeks ago, 107-101. Trevor Ariza, Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Jarrett Jack and Emeka Okafor missed the Hornets’ game Wednesday in Portland because of various injuries and ailments.
