LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Rumors surrounding Creative Cause’s status for in the Kentucky Derby seemed to quiet Friday when the horse wasn’t scratched from Saturday’s race.

Trainer Mike Harrington says everything is fine with the horse and that there is no need for concern.

The rumors started on Sunday when the horse arrived late for training because he threw a shoe on the flight from Hollywood Park to Churchill Downs. On Monday, he walked instead of running, and concerns seemed to grow.

But Harrington explained it is all just the horse’s training style.

Creative Cause jogged a mile on Friday morning, and Harrington said the animal was full of himself.

Creative Cause finished second in the Santa Anita Derby to I’ll Have Another.
