It’s understandable that Texas Tech Coach Tommy Tuberville would be frustrated to be locked in a tough game at home against Kansas, which entered the game seeking its first win over an FBS opponent this year.

But Tuberville went too far Saturday when he was caught on video slapping the headsets off one of his assistant coaches.

Then again, this is a school that has hired such hot-headed coaches as Bob Knight and Billy Gillispie.

Texas Tech ended up pulling out the game, 41-34, in overtime.

Kansas is now 1-9 on the year. The Jawhawks’ only win came against 1-AA South Dakota State.
