Saints players tweet bus was egged by Atlanta airport workers

Apparently fans of the Atlanta Falcons aren’t too pleased with the New Orleans Saints for giving their beloved team its only loss of the season earlier this month.

Apparently some workers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are among those fans.

Apparently some eggs just happened to be lying around outside.

And apparently things weren’t too busy at the airport Wednesday night, when three members of the Saints tweeted their bus was pelted with eggs by airport workers after the team touched down in Atlanta.

“Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy!” tight end Jimmy Graham wrote.

Backup quarterback Chase Daniel tweeted: “Wow … we start getting eggs thrown [at] us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!”

The hatred probably started long before the Falcons’ dream for a perfect season was dashed by their NFC South rivals, 31-27, back on Nov. 11.

Of course, the alleged egging could backfire on the Falcons fans, who may have provided a bit more motivation to a 5-6 Saints team that is already fighting for its playoff life.

“First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans!” linebacker Will Herring tweeted. “Tomorrow should be fun!!”
