UCLA, USC live: Some college football predictions

&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Join us today at 11:30 a.m. when Times &amp;lt;runtime:topic id=”ORSPT000000294”&amp;gt;UCLA&amp;lt;/runtime:topic&amp;gt; writer Chris Foster, USC writer Gary Klein and national college football columnist Chris Dufresne give an update on the season in a live Google+ Hangout.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Among the topics expected to be covered:&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;UCLA got some bad news when it learned receiver Darius Bell is expected to out two to four weeks because of a &amp;lt;a class=”taxInlineTagLink” href=”https://www.latimes.com/topic/health/injuries-wounds/fractured-rib-HEINW000015.topic”&amp;gt;broken rib&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt; he suffered during the Bruins’ game against California.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt; &amp;lt;br /&amp;gt; As Foster &amp;lt;a href=”https://www.latimes.com/sports/college/football/la-sp-1011-ucla-football-20121011,0,314897.story”&amp;gt;wrote Wednesday&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;, UCLA has good depth at receiver, but Bell’s loss does hurt the team’s psyche.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt; &amp;lt;br /&amp;gt; “He’s got a mature personality,” UCLA Coach Jim Mora said. “When everything is breaking loose, he keeps it calm.”&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt; &amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;USC travels to Washington this week, and eyes will be on kicker Andre Heidari.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;As Klein &amp;lt;a href=”https://www.latimes.com/sports/college/usc/la-sp-1011-usc-football-20121011,0,24085.story”&amp;gt;wrote Wednesday&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;, USC expects to play before a hostile Washington crowd at &amp;lt;a class=”taxInlineTagLink” href=”https://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/football/centurylink-field-PLREC000170.topic”&amp;gt;CenturyLink Field&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt; in Seattle on Saturday, but Heidari intends to block it out of his mind.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Heidari was unable to do that last week at Utah and missed two second-half field-goal attempts.
