Live discussion: Kings and Ducks make push for playoffs

The reigning Stanley Cup champion Kings (20-13-3) currently are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings with 43 points.

The resurgent Ducks (25-7-5) are in second place with 55 points, only two behind the conference-leading Chicago Blackhawks (27-5-3).

The Kings play tonight against the Minnesota Wild, which is third in the West at 44 points, as well as back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers and Ducks, who will host the game at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The Ducks host the Dallas Stars on Friday and finish three home games in four nights with the Oilers on Monday.
