Kings’ season opener

Timetable for the festivities surrounding the Kings’ opener Saturday at Staples Center and their Stanley Cup banner raising ceremony:

9:30 a.m.: Pregame Fan Fest outside Staples Center, featuring street hockey, face painting, a tattoo artist, merchandise sales, and giveaways from mascot Bailey and the Ice Crew.

9:30-10 a.m.: The Stanley Cup will be on display at center ice at Holiday Ice at L.A. Live. Ice to open for skating at 11 a.m.

10:15-11:15 a.m.: Kings alumni Marcel Dionne and Daryl Evans will sign autographs at the Toyota display on Chick Hearn Court.

10:30 a.m. (approximately): Stanley Cup to be marched from ice rink at L.A. Live into Staples Center.

11:30 a.m.-noon: FS West live pregame show broadcast.

11:30 a.m.: Kings request that fans with tickets be in their seats.

Noon: On-ice ceremony hosted by Bob Miller to begin. The ceremony will be broadcast live, in its entirety, on Channel 4.

12:25 p.m. (approx.): Puck drop for the game against the Chicago Blackhawks, to be broadcast on Channel 4 and aired on 1150 and the Kings’ radio network.
