Belen Mozo, an LPGA player from Spain who attended USC, made for a memorable prom date for a high school senior in Tennessee.

The Knoxville News Sentinel detailed how senior Alex Notte, who has neurological and communication challenges, invited and then escorted Mozo to his prom.

Notte reportedly met Mozo, 24, a few years ago at an LPGA tournament he attended in New York with his parents.

Notte’s sister helped him film a video that showed Notte playing golf and inviting Mozo to the prom. The News Sentinel reported that the video was posted to YouTube and Mozo’s Facebook page.

Mozo, who has appeared in ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue,” accepted the invitation and attended the prom.

“We’re very touched,” Notte’s mother, Kristine, told the News Sentinel.

“This young woman took time out of her very busy schedule to help Alex have such a wonderful experience. Sometimes, we want our children to be in the community just like a typical child — and Belen has opened that door for us.”
