Lee Trevino says he regrets his ‘Happy Gilmore’ cameo
The movie “Happy Gilmore” was voted the best golf movie by our readers in an informal survey a couple of years ago, but there’s one person out there who is not a fan, despite appearing in the movie: Lee Trevino.
Trevino had one line in the movie, and shows up in a few other scenes just shaking his head. (It’s funnier than it sounds).
However, Trevino was speaking at the University of Texas earlier this week when he was asked about the movie.
“If [I’d known] they were going to use all those foul words in there, I never would have done it.”
“Happy Gilmore” without Lee Trevino? That’s like Christmas without Santa Claus.
