UCLA women’s basketball player Kacy Swain is injured, out for season
The UCLA’s women’s basketball team lost a second key player for the season.
Friday, the Bruins announced that junior forward Kacy Swain will miss the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.
UCLA Coach Cori Close said, “I am very pleased with the steps of growth that I saw in Kacy during the off-season. This makes her injury more disappointing and she won’t be able to build on those steps this season.”
Swain averaged 3.1 points and 3.0 rebounds last season and was second in blocked shots. This is the second player lost for the season with a torn ACL. Sophomore guard Kari Korver tore her ACL on Sept. 25.
