Player to Watch: Ryann O'Toole of San Clemente did not play a practice round with her team on Monday at El Prado Golf Course in Chino, but her presence was felt. El Prado is the site of the Southern Section Southern Divisional championship and O'Toole, the Tritons' top player, played the course a week earlier. She scouted each hole during her round and made a yardage book for her teammates. "Just a quick sketch that shows you what to hit off the tee, where to hit shots and where the breaks are on the greens," said O'Toole, who makes personal yardage books for just about every course she plays. You can't argue with the results. She has led the Tritons in scoring in all but one match this season and has been the medalist in four consecutive matches. Her season average is 36.75 and she shot a career-best 33 earlier this season.
Who's Hot: Santa Margarita clinched the Serra League title with a 225-235 victory over Fullerton Rosary last week to complete the season sweep. The Eagles lost twice to Rosary last year, by a total of two strokes.
Match of the Week: Brea Olinda vs. Anaheim Canyon at Anaheim Hills, Thursday. Though Brea Olinda has already clinched the Century League title, this one is for revenge. When the Wildcats lost to Canyon, 250-256, two weeks ago, it was their only loss of the season.
