South Korea’s Mi Hyang Lee shot a four-under-par 67 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead in the Evian Championship in France, the last of the LPGA Tour’s five majors.

The 22-year-old Lee had a nine-under 133 total. She won the Mizuno Classic last year in Japan for her lone LPGA Tour title.

Pressel had eight birdies in a 65. Lexi Thompson, Pressel’s U.S. Solheim Cup teammate who shared the lead with Lee at five under after the opening round, dropped five strokes back with a 72.

China’s Shanshan Feng was third at six under after a 68. Second-ranked Lydia Ko (69) was at four under along with Thompson, Amy Yang (66), I.K. Kim (67), Ilhee Lee (67) and Pornanong Phatlum (71).

To add an extra dose of knowledge to her game, Lee recently hired veteran caddie Mike Harig. They started working together in July.

“I’m a young player and he’s pretty old, 69 years old, the oldest caddie on the tour,” she said. “He has a lot of experience, so that’s a lot of help for me.”

Top-ranked Inbee Park was one under after a 69, and Karrie Webb was three over after a 74.

Webb is attempting to win her sixth different major championship, and Park is trying to join Webb with a record five. Park has two major victories this year — the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Ricoh Women’s British Open — and four overall titles. Webb and Park won the event before it became a major, Webb in 2006 and Park in 2012.

Kjeldsen leads the KLM Open

England’s Matthew Fitzpatrick missed a chance for the first 59 in European Tour history, and Denmark’s Soren Kjeldsen shot his second staight six-under 64 to take the second-round lead in the KLM Open in Zandvoort, Netherlands.

Fitzpatrick settled for a 60 after leaving a birdie putt just short on the final hole. He was tied for fifth at nine under. Kjeldsen, the Irish Open winner this season, had a one-stroke lead over England’s David Horsey (66) and Wade Ormsby (68).
