Steelers coach Tomlin: ‘I’m going to play Le’Veon Bell’
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin left no mystery Tuesday on how he will use Le’Veon Bell against the St. Louis Rams in Bell’s first game back from a two-game suspension.
“I’m going to play Le’Veon Bell,” Tomlin said at his weekly televised news conference. “If he is available to us, we’re going to use him.”
Asked how he will use DeAngelo Williams, who started the first two games and leads the AFC with 204 yards rushing, Tomlin said, “We’ll figure that out as we go.”
Tomlin said the only injury of note was to defensive tackle Daniel McCullers, who left the game against the San Francisco 49ers and developed some swelling on his left knee. Tomlin said McCullers could be limited in practice this week, but did not rule out his availability for the game against the Rams.
