Whitecaps extend Galaxy’s winless streak to four with 2-0 victory

Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero scored goals in the second half to give the Vancouver Whitecaps a 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night at BC Place.

It was a club-record fourth conseuctive victory for the Whitecaps.

The Galaxy, meanwhile, sees its winless streak extend to four games after opening the season with a 2-0 defeat of the Chicago Fire.

Manneh broked the scoreless tie when he collected a brilliant through ball from Pedro Morales, drifted inside and fired a low shot past Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.

Rivero doubled the advantage 10 minutes later, pouncing on a rebound conceded by the Galaxy goalkeeper and punching home his fourth goal in five games.
