Jose Aldo reaches out and touches (and annoys) Conor McGregor at UFC 194 weigh-in

Jose Aldo reversed the latest edition of mental warfare games between himself and his Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight title challenger, Conor McGregor, on Friday at their weigh-in.

After both combatants of UFC 194 at MGM Grand weighed in at the featherweight limit of 145 pounds, Aldo squatted down to mimic McGregor’s trademark pose and brushed the challenger’s chest with his left hand, forcing their separation by UFC President Dana White.

McGregor raised his left leg, but was pushed back again by White.

An Irish-heavy, pro-McGregor capacity weigh-in crowd estimated at 7,000 roared at the tussle, which is now subject to the interpretation of all the dime-store psychologists.

Has Aldo finally had enough of McGregor’s antics, which included the challenger charging the champion’s ringside seat after a victory earlier this year in Boston, then stealing his belt off a stage in Brazil?

Or is the champion, who hasn’t lost in more than 10 years, cracking under the onslaught of gamesmanship, providing an indication of some out-of-character behavior that might sabotage his attempt to win a 16th straight fight?

Earlier, unbeaten middleweight champion Chris Weidman and challenger Luke Rockhold, who has won 14 of his past 15 fights, also weighed in at their limit, 185 pounds.
